The aim of this study was to study the ISB of the forestry scientists working at the PFI, Peshawar by using survey method. Questionnaire along with the Interviews were used to collect the data. Relevant statistics have been used for data analysis by using SPSS. The result showed forestry scientists used a variety of information sources and the main motivation for seeking information by this group was their interest in personal development, conducting research, and keeping them up to date. Top three commonly used information sources were books, journals, newspapers and magazines. Concerning communication channels, interpersonal communication with colleagues, academic staff at PFI, and attending professional conferences were ranked as the three top channels.
