This book endeavours to investigate the effectiveness of St Andrew’s college graduates of 2004/5 in fighting stigma against People Living with HIV and AIDS (PLHA) in Kirinyaga District (County) of central Kenya. HIV and AIDS is a taught module at St Andrew’s College, an affiliate of St Paul’s University, Limuru, Kenya. The writer’s primary research participants were his past students who studied at St Andrew’s College going back over a period of four years. His findings on the ‘multiplier effect’ of knowledge on HIV and AIDS and up-scaled emphases on prevention strategies among the churches was received as a highly valuable contribution to this area of Study. His institution as well as the St Paul’s University benefited from this research leading to the revision of the curriculum. The revised syllabus, as a result, is more focused with deliberate emphasis on ‘reflective practice’ that seeks to integrate social dynamics with theological teachings.
