The way individuals cope with illness-related stressors can influence their emotional, physiological and behavioral reactions. Therefore, there is need to investigate how individuals afflicted with TB cope with illness- relate stressors in order to facilitate patient’s optimal adaptation to TB. Nurses can assist patient by providing support, information, critical analysis and alternative problem- solving strategies to further improve the quality of life of these patients.
