The paper is a reflection on the post classical paradigm of rationality in its duality from the local and non-local description of the world, as well as an attempt to see in that light the educational reality whose critical state demands a re-interpretation of major postulates and the apparatus of the categories. When looking for a way to “sew” these two oppositely different “pictures of the world” one to the other, the author acknowledges the reality of the consciousness, whose states of unity with the invisible layers of life – on the micro level, are defining for the cognitive effects on the macro level of space and time. The educational space of time is being researched on the basis of samples of the postclassical rationality and the European strategies. The continuum being-consciousness/a continuum of the activity is a strategy of explanation for some of the effects and defects of the educational environment.
