This book is a desk-based research presenting a study of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) from an organisation development (OD) perspective. The PLO institutionalised the national liberation movement of the Palestinian people. Therefore, in order to provide an understanding of how to develop this public organisation for it to be able to achieve its goals, this study offers at the first place a literature review of OD that is understood to provide solutions for contemporary problems in all types of organisations. To achieve this goal, in addition to the OD literature this study offers a review of PLO. Afterwards, the study critically assesses the conceptual problems facing the development of the organisation as a whole. Commenting on a major development and reform intervention that had failed drastically presenting the reasons of such a result follows the assessment.
