Описание
Noting the unique case study that Israel presents, this book aims at analyzing civil-military dynamics in Israel and whether or not that relationship has changed or evolved over time. The book explores civil military relations in general and how this applies to the case of Israel specifically with all its complexities and in so doing evaluates where Israel lies on the spectrum of civil-military relations against a set of established and tested criteria. Three time periods are discussed (1948-1967, 1968-1981, 1982-Present) and a particular focus is given to a critical event that occurred within each of the three time periods (1967 War, 1973 War, 1982 Invasion respectively).
