This literature identifies the impact of sources of funding for political parties on democracy in Zambia. Reading against the grain of writings on sources of funding political parties, that ill adaptedly tend to divorce or negate the impact these sources have on democracy; this study reveals how various sources of financing political parties in a democratic dispensation pillages some democratic principles. In accounting for the sources of funding political parties in the said country, conveniently called Zambia, this study examines some of Zambia’s trends in campaign finance and gives an account of what the sources of funding for the major political parties are and further gives an analytical discussion of these sources’ impact on democracy.
