The groups treated with Polyherbal formulation (ointment) showed increase in the rate of wound contraction and decrease in the period of epithelization in animals which may be attributed to its wound healing activity. In these studies, the only rational explanation for the accelerated wound healing is the antibacterial effect and also the synergetic effect of constituents present in polyhebral formulation.
