This study compares the data collected from two Universities in Hyderabad,India viz University of Hyderabad and Osmania University.The analysis was statistically tested with CHI-SQUARE and ANOVA one way test of variance for ranking of databases. This study is a unique one comparing the usage data of two universities. The highly used databases in both the universities are Science direct, SCIFINDER , and Biological Abstracts. Online journals and databases are supplementing their immediate research needs. User community in both universities prefer print and e-journals for future subscription.
