In the book entitled "Collateral in Civil Law. Evidence from Romanian Banking System" we proposed to tackle the important issue of guarantees institution in terms of changes to the New Civil Code. Reasons for choosing this theme is enriched in the importance of legislative developments due premiere appearance in the Romanian legislation, to the fact that the collateral takes the form of mortgage securities, which went from the scope of collateral in the mortgage.
