Does a woman feel better with a new pair of shoes? We all know the answer to that question. Any person feels better when they have something new or maybe their favorite dessert. As a coach I learned that by putting new uniforms on your team they tend to play better. Look good feel good makes a person want to play hard for the people watching them. These are tangible things that can be changed or given to a person. What about outside influences that affect a person’s performance that can be changed in order to make one feel better? Over the years as a teacher, coach, and administrator I have found many things that work with changing a person’s ability to learn and perform to a higher degree. It is not hard to look at students taking a test, with very warm room temperature on a hot day, and know that their testing abilities are not at their best.
