Over the last few years, research on Tissue Engineering/Regenerative Medicine has increased exponentially, and there is a strong need to share experiences between the scientific community. The main objective should be translate the research from "the benchtop to the bedside", with maximum biosafety conditions. This book, therefore, intends to show years of experience in the application of Regenerative Medicine/Tissue Engineering techniques in three distinctly different instances: wound healing, chondral repair and development of a bioartificial liver device. All of them were developed by using cells from different tissues, isolated and cultured in different conditions.
