The first two papers are translations of two poems by two famous modern Arab poets-Nizar Qabbani and Farouq Goweda- with an introduction. They discuss literary and cultural translation theories respectively. The third paper is a comparative study between an Arabic novel titled Mirage (Al-Sarab) by Naguib Mahfouz, a Noble Prize Winner, and Sons and Lovers by D. H. Lawrence. The last paper discusses the issue of the misrepresentation of Arabs in the Western media.
