The topics covered include word formation, causation and predication with the focus on how different lexical categories are formed from acategorial roots and how nouns, verbs and adjectives form predicates. The discussion is framed in terms of Distributed Morphology, a morphological theory that claims that all word and sentence formation takes place in the syntax. Every chapter has a section for non-linguistic audience with the summary of the main points in non-theoretical terms and practical applications for the purposes of language learning and revitalization.
