The interactions were characterized by conflicts in which the Oromo had the upper hand at the initial stages but that position was over taken by the Amhara after awhile. This period of study marked the definite revival of the social and political forces of the Amhara and weakness and disunity of the Oromo of the region because of interwoven historical and geographical reasons.
