This study deals with the history of Farta Warada of South Gondar Administrative Zone from 1935 to 1991. By using archival, oral and written secondary sources, the study gives an analysis of the participation of the people of Farta Warada in defending their country against the Italian invasion and the scarificce paid by the patriots of the Warada in the period of resistance after the area was occupied by the Italians. The administrative rearrangements, the relationship between government officials and the people in relation to land and taxation, and the security and justice during the imperial period are also included in the book.
