Educational Management Information Systems (EMIS) are crucially important technological tools for the development of education in developing countries. Unfortunately, in West Africa, minimal practical guidance and information exist in terms of how the approach could be effectively harnessed and efficiently utilised. In order for proactive planning and to support the evaluation of investments in the sector, knowledge on levels of awareness and its utility is critical. In the light this, this book has used a case study from Ghana to examine awareness and utilisation of EMIS by stakeholders, e.g. educators, parents, guardians, students, educational NGOs and consultants.
