Hubbs and Brand (2005) describes reflective journal as “paper mirror”, and states, “As a glass mirror reflects a visual image, the paper mirror reflects students’ inner worlds and making of meaning” (p.70). Reflection through journal writing provides the opportunity for learners to return to their previous learning experience, and self-evaluate their learning capabilities which as a result may increase their self-efficacy.
