Indigenous knowledge (IK) is a new focus in research and development. IK is not documented and degenerating over the years in most parts of the world, including Uganda. With increased campaigns to use modern farm practices for better yields, majority of the subsistence farmers cannot sustain modern practices and IK remains inferior.
