 This book describes the research work carried out to fulfill the Master in Computer Science at the University of Padua. The work was performed during a visit at Yahoo! Research in Barcelona supervised by Roelof van Zwol. This work was part of a larger research project which is underway at Yahoo! Research in Barcelona. This book addresses the problem of detecting and retrieving all the logos contained in an image given as input. The problem of detecting and retrieving a logo consists of a variety of steps, each of which has different solutions. Although logo detection is an important research problem due to the potential industrial impact, a solution has not been yet proposed in the literature to our knowledge. This study is organized in three parts: collection, preparation and experimental study.
