Many scholars have constructed models to shed some light on the causes of crises, and find out the most appropriate measures to prevent the eruption or to mitigate the severity of them. In this book, the author also aims to construct a model for the Turkish financial crises of November 2000 and February 2001. To this effect, the study is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter, theoretical background of the concept of financial crisis is laid. In the second chapter, financial crisis models and the reasons of financial crises are elaborated. In addition, the reasons of the financial crises that took place in Turkey in November 2000 and February 2001 are examined descriptively. In the third chapter, the financial crises in question are investigated empirically by making use of the method of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). The author hopes the study...
