The book is a seemingly brief, but inspiring output of several years of practise of a creative team of researchers at the Technical University of Liberec. The quantification of disparities among regions is a very noteworthy part of the book. The authors approximate diversity of approaches. Based on comparison, analysis and synthesis, they formulate their own proposals of criteria whose primary mission is not only to assess the current state and the position of individual regions in the Czech Republic, but also to explain the causes of differences.
