Over the past centuries, economists have attempted to understand the major sources of long run economic growth and their studies have been focus not only on unveiling its main determinants, but also on the way in which growth affects and transforms the production process and the economy. Within this second group of studies, the aim of this book is to analyze, for the case of Argentina, the long run relationship between growth and employment; to identify the main determinants of this relationship; and to verify the way in which the evolution of these variables has affected income distribution.
