International migration occurs when people of a country cross their national boundaries to reside in the host countries for a certain period of time, for various purposes especially for employment. This will have an enormous economic, social and cultural impact on both their countries of origin and destination. India is the second largest country in the world in sending emigrants and the first in terms of their remittances.
