This monograph addresses this aspect in the context of South Korea and Bangladesh. The findings suggest that there is no short-run relationship between oil price and exchange rates in both Bangladesh and South Korea, however, oil prices influence exchange rate in the long-run only in Bangladesh. Evidence of the effects of foreign exchange reserve and trade balances is also mixed for these two countries.
