This is especially true for the current economic crisis that hit young people at the most across the member states. The majority of foreign-born population are facing long spells of joblessness, skill shortages and a high risk of exclusion as a result. Therefore, attempts to give youth immigrants a fair chance to participate in the labour markets are more than ever a key policy priority in all EU member states. It is important to increase the effectiveness of measures in terms of a number of good practices in policy design, as well as implementation in the member states that this book offers.
