An assumption is made that if the work is finished on time, within the agreed budget and set quality (golden triangle), then the project is deemed successful. Available evidence suggests that this is far from the truth. Hence, the construction industry needs to pay special attention to critical success factors, besides the golden triangle, if it is to survive the challenges posed by globalization.
