This book highlights issues dealing with impact of corporal punishment on students. In the year 2009, school dropout rate in Bondo district increased by 8%. Student teacher confrontation was reported in 40% and 12% of the schools respectively thereby necessitating many disciplinary committee meetings in those schools. In more than 50% of the PTA meetings, parents and the school management committees wanted re-introduction of corporal punishment to curb indiscipline. Information obtained from the District Education Office in Bondo indicate rise in indiscipline in the schools in the district.
