Agriculture is the main occupations of South Asian people. Half of the people of these areas are directly or indirectly involved in agriculture based occupations. In other hand, ever growing population has demanded higher production to feed the people. Various biotic and abiotic factors are responsible for low production and productivity. Among the biotic factors, insect pest alone reduce crops up to 35%, rodents cause 10-15% and storage pest 10% in storage.
