The quest for this book is to provide an understanding of Community Adult Education Practices in rural communities in Zambia. Although this study was conducted in Chongwe District, the findings are applicable to other rural communities in the country. There is no doubt that adult education is about human resource development which ultimately translate into national development.It is a truism that national development cannot be attained with an illiterate population. Therefore, education being a human right must be provided to the masses for the purpose of attaining national development. Apparently in Zambia these masses are concentrated in rural areas and are often times denied access to social services such as education. Poverty and illiteracy are a common phenomenon among them.
