What are the treatment techniques for truancy reduction? There are many treatment techniques under behavioural therapy outlined in literature. This book examines the effectiveness of two of these techniques (contingency management and the systematic desensitization) in the reduction of truancy behaviour among secondary school adolescents. The study made use of gender personality types and family structure as intervening variables. The treatment programmes were carried out, relevant data collected and analyzed using statistical analysis.
