The book presents IDF curves for thirteen stations in three districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan namely Peshawar, Charsadda and Nowshera which remained the hardest hit of extreme flood events due to monsoon rains for three consecutive years. The total hourly recorded available precipitation data for different parts of these areas has been collected and analyzed for the study. Making use of the precipitation data, functions of IDF for precipitation are developed for 13 stations, identifying three regions under study. The IDF curves are constructed for 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 and 200 years return periods. The theoretical intensities of precipitation are calculated by the developed functions namely Kimijima, Sherman and Bernard Equations.
