The book also describes how actuators such as solenoid valves can be interfaced to the data acquisition board. It also explains how the feedback circuits (such as limit switches) of the drilling machine are connected to the interfacing board. The data acquisition board produced can be considered to be generic. It may be used for any PC based application involving the control of real devices provided that no more than 16 inputs and outputs are required for the application. This board may also be used for microcontroller based applications as well.
