Three controllable factors of the cold chamber die casting process (namely: 1st phase pressure , 2nd phase pressure and limit switch position) were studied at three levels each by Taguchi’s parametric approach and single-response optimization was conducted to identify the main factors controlling surface hardness (SH), dimensional accuracy (?d) and weight of cast component (W).
