A detailed literature review related to the benchmarking studies of various Rapid Manufacturing processes is presented and based on the literature review, a new design of benchmarking part is proposed. The part contained various features such a flat base, cubes, cones, spheres, cylinders etc to measure the accuracy and repeatability of parts manufactured via Rapid Manufacturing proceses . The part was built using a novel Rapid Manufacturing process known as High Speed Sintering (HSS). THe built part was measured using a Coordinate Measuring Machine to evaluate the technical capabilities of High Speed Sintering Process.
