Agriculture sector is the largest user of reclaimed water and scope of wastewater reclamation and reuse is high in the Australia. The Australian regional water authority Barwon Water currently operates nine water reclamation plants. Barwon Water is committed to enforce triple bottom reporting in its activities and as such three aspects of sustainability, namely: social, environmental and economical are integrated appropriately to achieve sustainable path of these plants. This review analysis should help to give overview about status of current reclamation and reuse practices in the world with issues and challenges during application.
