In tropical countries like Pakistan, there is seasonal availability of fodders. Animals remain deficient in nutrients during scarcity of fodder. Moreover, in developing countries, prices of the concentrate are very high which makes the livestock enterprises uneconomical. Citrus pulp can be used both to meet the nutrient gap and source of concentrate comparatively at cheaper rates without any ill effect on animal performance.
