A study was conducted to evaluate the performance of Pure bred Hampshire pigs especially on some important of reproductive and litter traits under the tropical climatic condition of Assam. The results of the investigation revealed that the performance of Hampshire breed of pigs under the agro-climatic condition of Assam was reasonably satisfactory. However, there seems to have room for further improvement in performance by reducing preweaning mortality and increasing growth rate by way of better health cover and management.
