 Science and Technology are essential ingredients for agricultural and rural development as exemplified in the green revolution in Asia but similar efforts have not been as successful in Africa. In Uganda agriculture is being modernised; but adoption of ICT remains limited. Policies and scientific recommendations can be contradictory, thereby exacerbating the challenge of natural resource sustainability.
