The ability to tolerate these conditions and the associated diseases is an interesting genetic characteristics of the Solanum pimpinellifolium that had been exploited in the breeding program that produced the hybrids that were evaluated. Some of the hybrids distinguished themselves as genotypes with high fruit weight and better yield stability across the four seasons of evaluation.
