In the same time, nano conducting polymers especially polyaniline can acts as anticorrosive pigment through its sacrificial effect which is the second mechanism of corrosion control. This work offers a novel and effective anticorrosive coating has the two mechanisms of corrosion control, barrier and sacrificial, through modification of asphalt by nano polyaniline based polymers and evaluation of these materials as anticorrosive coatings.
