Furthermore, this study argues and explains that the Serbo-Croat War and the Bosnian War in the 1990s were not clash of civilizations or return of ancestral hatreds among Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks (Yugoslav Muslims) but were results of reconstruction of capitalism in Yugoslavia and economic-political contradictions between Serbian and Croatian bureaucratic- technocratic ruling elites whose ideological basis has been nationalist liberalizm. I dedicate this book to the memory of my mother, Bahtiye Sancaktar (Bahta Fejzic, 1936-2010).
