The recognition of human rights in foreign policy also derives from processes of domestic and international socialization and is sometimes the product of strategic realist decisions. This book presents a model of analysis for the assessment of the role of human rights in the definition of foreign policy in Europe. The model is applied to three case studies: Spain, the United Kingdom and the European Union.
