They offer advantages for patients who have difficulty in swallowing e.g. pediatrics and geriatrics. In addition, pharmaceutical companies are using formulation technologies as a useful tool to maximize product value. In this book we discussed formulation methods and recent taste masking strategies used in the formulation of orodispersible tablets. Furthermore, we have included a research for the formualtion of orodispersible tablets of Prifininm Bromide, an antispasmodic drug, and prepared taste masked formulae using Eudragit E100, B-cyclodextrin and other polymers. A combination of Prifinium Bromide with Diclofenac Sodium, a NSAID drug, was also prepared and the resulted formulae were evaluated.
