 India is a fast growing economy and has second largest educational infrastructure with more than 350 Universities. However, only 6% students in age group of 18-23 years have access to higher education. Globalization through world trade organization (WTO) and General Agreement on trade in Services (GATS) has made higher education a commercial product governed by market forces and has lead to competition.
