Today than ever before worldwide, distance education continues to thrive. As institutions endeavour to deliver education programmes through distance learning, the key issues lie in quality assurance and sustainability. In working towards ensuring and raising the quality of the distance-learning programme in institutions we should put into consideration the quality of the products. The quantitative data obtained in this research were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The two were obtained using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) test. The results indicate that as distance education continues to become a reality in institutions of learning, addressing the question of quality will involve the need to rethink the issue of training lecturers to handle distance education.
