In this research, Dr. Beyan employed the Protege ontology editor and knowledge-base framework. She applied Web Ontology Language (OWL) and Semantic Web Rule Language (SWRL) for formalization of the ontology and knowledge representation. She implemented Description Logics languages for reasoning and used Jess rule engine in her research.
