eHealth interoperability is one of the important aspects among the implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools. The increase in usage of the ICT’s at different levels globally creates a need for interoperability. Following is a concern over the selection of interoperability standards. In this study we investigate what are the eHealth standards used in Europe and Sweden. We identify the current practices in the County of Blekinge with regard to interoperability, propose standards for the Field Documentation Mobile Computer (FDMC) and propose a conceptual architecture of FDMC.
