Arabic text recognition is an important field of study. One of its branches is vowel recognition. one word with ?different vowels will be pronounced differently and ?will produce different meaning. Therefore, it is ?important to study Arabic vowels and consider them ?when recognising arabic characters. in this study, quran ?tajweed rules are used as a case study. The key aim of this ?research is to develop arabic vowel recognition (avr) ?system. The study recognises the third part of the arabic ?text (vowel)individually. Also develops techniques that ?recognise single, double, triple and special vowels.in ?addition, the research also introduces a technique to ?connect all vowels to the corresponding characters in ?all cases.
