The value of inducting high performance work systems in firms operating in both private and public sectors of Pakistan was investigated in 9 different firms taking both objective and subjective measures of performance evaluation for organizations into account. Objective parameters of performance evaluation indicated the association of high performance work systems with both financial and non-financial outcomes of firms. Study indicates some of the practices of high performance work systems if deployed adequately have a statistically significant impact on firm’s overall productivity and financial growth. Subjective measures showed the greater employee commitment and its association with healthy working environment yielding elevated performance as compared to organizations not adopting high performance work systems.
